“Fan the Flames of Poetry!”

April is National Poetry Month. Join us for a dynamic interview/discussion of the life of poetry in Central Washington!

Ed Stover and Linda Brown of Yakima will discuss their publications, backgrounds and success in building a poetic fire in their area. Poet, essayist and Write on the River member Susan Blair will facilitate the interview and discussion.

Ed Stover has been active in the Yakima Coffeehouse Poets open mic sessions and annual contest since around 1990; has been involved in the selection of our State Poet Laureate; was a newspaper journalist for 40 years; has a poetry chapbook on the horizon.

Linda Brown has taught English for 42 years; is active with the Yakima

Coffeehouse Poets; has published a poetry chapbook and has one or two more in the works.

Find out more about: how can we create a vibrant poetry community in Wenatchee? How can we build a Wenatchee-Yakima-Ellensburg poetic relationship? What can we do to keep the spirit of poetry alive here?

Enjoy networking, discussing and writing with other writers and poets.

This event is FREE.
