The next installment in our webinar series, is Crafting your Place: Writing Small and Writing Naked, presented by Lorna Rose-Hahn. Join us via Zoom Saturday, May 23, 10:00 AM–11:15 AM. The webinar is free for members.

Ever want to write about big issues but don’t know where to start? From a divorce to a social justice issue to a complicated relationship, it can be difficult to begin writing about something big. Join us as we discuss how to write small about big things, and how to show vulnerability in your writing. This workshop includes writing prompts, and is geared toward new writers of nonfiction, although it is open to everyone.

“The bigger the issue, the smaller you write. Remember that. You don’t write about the horrors of war. No. You write about a kid’s burnt socks lying on the road. You pick the smallest manageable part of the big thing, and you work off the resonance.” -Author Richard Price
