Writing YOUR Story

We all have slices of life that can tell a unique and compelling story, we just have to frame them. Join fellow writers and Write on the River members to discuss writing memoir.

Melody Kreimes, WOTR Vice Chair, will talk briefly about the foundational elements of memoir, then facilitate a lively discussion about framing your memoir, and the challenges and power of telling your own story.

Topics to include:

  • Finding the compelling premise of your memoir
  • Writing memoir like a novel without telling lies
  • Identifying key turning points in your memoir (not necessarily the same as those in your life!)

Everyone is welcome! We ask that after two WMW meetings that you join Write on The River (just $35/year.) Student discounts available.
