Writers Meeting Writers – The Essence of Story

January 18, 2020
Wenatchee Library
30 So Wenatchee Avenue, WA, United States

We can’t wing it when telling a long story like a novel. We need a solid grasp of the elements of story, including how to optimize them over the course of a 3-400 page story. Join career novelist Kay Kenyon at January’s Writers Meeting Writers for an overview of these elements.

Writing a novel involves diving into the deep end of the pool. While it’s easy to name to name the basic building blocks of stories–concept, character, and plot–our challenge is to use them effectively. Kay will touch on the basic requirements of these elements and recommend further reading on the path to a memorable story.

Saturday, January 18. 9:15-10:30 am — Wenatchee Library (Wenatchee Avenue location), upstairs meeting room

Kay’s latest novels are the Dark Talents Trilogy, historical fiction with a twist of fantasy.

Everyone is welcome to attend, but we do ask that after two of these regular meetings  you join Write On The River.
